Links: Cub Scout Leader Training
Cub
Scout Leaders in Jayhawk Area Council are required to attend 3
types of “basic” training.
- New Leaders Essentials (NLE), open to all Scout Leaders, not
just Cub Scout Leaders, designed to let you know where and how
you fit into the Scouting Universe and what else exists in that
Universe.
- Cub Scout Position Specific (CSPS) Training, designed to assist
you in your specific job: Cub Master, Committee Member, Tiger
Den Leader, Den Leader or Webelos Den Leader. Each job has its
own separate responsibilities, challenges and duties.
- Youth Protection (YP), designed to educate you about official
BSA policies and ways to protect your Scouts, yourself and your
chartering organization. Youth Protection Training is good for
every adult in your unit.
